a very long post!

Boy I was busy the last couple of weeks! Wedding, appartment hunting, moving, new stamps, and lots more! But I would like to begin with the wedding. We had the last great day with a lot of sunshine before it started to rain again for almost two weeks!! Thank you Jesus! Can you imagine if it would have been raining on our big day?? We didn’t have a backup plan at all….. I can’t tell you how nervous I was right before the ceremony…. The reason was not that I would “have to” spend the rest of my life with Adrian, I was nervous because I felt like I would start to cry any minute because of all the stress of the days before the wedding….. But I did it, without crying!! :D

Our Honeymoon was very nice too. We were in Honolulu for the first week and then went to Lahaina on Maui for the second week. On Maui we also had a car and were able to drive around the island and find some great snorkeling spots! The fish are soooo beautiful there! Like in the movies! I’m not kidding! There was that one fish swarm with about 1000 fish or so that would just swim underneath me while all the fish would carefully look at me…. We saw stunning fish in every shape, color and pattern!

And since I am talking about fish….. Since today is my birthday (yay, officially my teenanger years are over!!) Adrian took me to the pet shop and we got five Guppys :D    They are so cute! I will show you some pictures sometimes :)

We also found a pretty appartment! We moved on Thursday and everything went smoothly. I even got my scrapbooking table in our bedroom!! In the beginning we thought, that I would have to scrapbook on our dinner table, but we had some space in our bedroom :D   Everything is so nice and it really couldn’t be better!! :)

Wedding Plannings and More…

Finally I can say “Hello” again… The past few days have been soooo busy with wedding stuff! Planning, decorating and getting ready… But we have great people, that help us with that challenge A LOT! I don’t know if they are actually reading my blog, but if they do, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR HELP AND SUPPORT!!

Adrian cleaned up the gardens and now they look fabulous! I really hope and pray, that the weather will be fine next Saturday. If it would stay like now it would be perfect!

I was able to do almost everything for the decoration. As you might now, we have chosen white, pink and green as our colors. I have been hot glueing like a maniac ;) And yes, I also burned my hand and now I have a dark mark… Some of the glue that I put onto a silk flower dropped and got me on my hand. That was so painful! But it is much better now.

For the weekend Adrian and I went to San Juan Bautisto for a short afternoon getaway. That was so nice, to turn away from all the stress and just enjoy the time with each other.

We also took a few fun pictures in the car… I don’t think I have to comment on them…. ;)

Okay, I have to go again.. Hopefully I have time to post again, otherwise: “read” you in Hawaii or after our Honeymoon ;)

Blue Skies and Rainy Days

Do you know the quote: ‘Home is where your heart is’ ? Well, I am back home again! The move was no problem and I am almost free of jetlag again. I have settled in again and I mean, how could I not? With the most beautiful blue sky I have ever seen? Okay, it has been raining a lot the last couple of days, but today (and also yesterday) the color of the sky is a bold blue again! The poppies are blooming and the grass is (still) nice and green.

Also the wedding is coming together more and more. I can’t wait to say ‘I Do’ in my perfect white dress that I ordered from china.

Yesterday Adrian and I went to the hospital…. I had to get a Medical Exam, including two shots and one blood test…. Gosh, I hate needles… I mean, I’m not afraid or so, but it is so painful afterwards… So right now I am feeling a bit under the weather, because both of my arms hurt and I think I have a little fever…

We also got Adrian’s suite! He looks great in it ;) It is a very dark greyish suit with needle stripes. I can’t wait to show you guys the pictures of the wedding ;)

And now I can also tell you a bit more about my stamps!! The second one has been sent into production this week! That means, that I will have the clear stamps in about 3 to 4 weeks! Last Week and Co.

Do you wanna know what I did last week? Let me show you!

So I did all the invitation work (and still have to do a few), sent them out and feel so much more relaxed ;) No, really, that was a huuuuge stress factor for me. All the pressure of doing about a hundred invitations… But now this part is done and I can enjoy much more interesting and fun tasks like…..

…finding the right hair style :) I think I would like to have a real messy hair on the big day. Something like an updo or half updo. Yesterday night I started on my veil! Yes, I am going to do my own veil :D It will be a two layered tulle veil and probably with a reeeaally nice lace kinda thing on the longer layer. But I am not sure yet.. ;)

Anyways, I was also able to do some scrapbooking!! That felt sooo relaxing and good! Right now I am working on a custom order from a German lady. It is a wedding album of her sister. Isn’t that a great gift?? I think so!

Wedding Planning

Today I have time to update you guys about my recent life. And guess what! I am having time to do some scrapbooking!! I am working for the Magazine I work for (SAZ). I think I already told you that I got my two own columns and since the deadline is coming faster than I would like it to come I am in a little hurry ;)   LOL

Yesterday I ordered my wedding dress!! I am sooo excited about it and I can’t wait until I will be able to hold it finally in my own hands :)   I also did another colorscheme, this time just for my bridesmaids. I did this, because my mom told me, that it would be too hard to find the same dress for all three girls, because in Switzerland this is not usual and we don’t have that many shops where you find those dresses. So I thought that I would send them this scheme, so they see what they should buy. I hope it will work!

I also got my wedding flowers!! Yes, we are going with artifical flowers… 1. It is much much cheaper and 2. I don’t want to have stress with real flowers. You probably know what I mean, right? They get bad so quickly.

Okay, that’s it for today. I hope to be able to show you some layouts or other scrapbooking things the next time :)
