Layouts, Photography and other Random Updates

Good Morning Ladies :) Today I have quiet a bit to share (CAUTION: lots of images = long post) ;)

First off I want to post a layout I did for BlueMoonScrapbooking! I’m loving the soft colors of the Webster’s Pages Paper in combination with the SC Stars and some Prima flowers! And of course the date stamp by Dear Lizzy!! Little secret… I hate that both date stamps (Dear Lizzy and Smash) have the little images on the side! They always smudge and I’m a little perfectionist when it comes to these things. So what I did to get rid of it… I just got RID of it ;) I used my exacter knife and just cut off that one part of the stamps and now I simply got a nice date stamp!

Next is a mini album page for Crate Paper! I really love this project that I’m working on right now (the Summer 2012 Mini Album) It’s fun to add page after page! And YES, I haven’t punched the holes yet, but I will. Probably 3 on the left side and use some Book RIngs to hold it all together :)

By the way, you can enter to win a box filled with YELLOW goodies over at Crate :) Go and give it a shot :)

Next on the Menu is a Wedding I wanted to share with you! On Saturday a week ago I was able to go shoot a Wedding with the ever so talented Jihan Cerda! It was GREAT to work with her as well as learning from a seasoned pro :) I’m so grateful there are photographers out there, that help out than putting you down :D

If you like you are welcome to check out the entire Wedding on my other blog :) (and I’d love to hear what you think about it :) )

Lastly I would like to talk a little about Design Teams ;) For starters, American Crafts is assembling a new team for 2012/2013!! I gave it a shot last year (without really thinking they would actually take me….) and I had an amazing year with them!! It’s worth it – give it a shot!

And to finish this post off I’d like to give you a little sneak of what’s coming tomorrow….. I will be posting a DT Call for the next term of SGD DT Girls :D Yes, this term is almost over and I will be looking for a few new talented ladies that would love to play with my stamps in the upcoming months :D

One last thing – there are two packs left from the fleamarket. If you are interested here’s the link :)

Well, until then…. Happy Scrappin’ :D

A Crate Paper Tutorial

Hello Friends! It has been a while since I created an actual photo tutorial, huh ;) Well, today I got one to share with you. In fact, I have to direct you over to the Crate Paper Blog for you to see what I’ve tutorialized ;) (I know, the word is totally made up ;) )

Here’s a little tiny sneak ;)

Now, throughout the summer you will see more of this project of mine. It’s a mini album all about Summer 2012 and I am planning on adding pages every once in a while :) I’m for sure super excited about capturing our favorite memories that way :D

The size is 8×6″

Here the first 3 pages…

Above: The Title Page. I want to keep them similar by using a handful of colors and techniques. My colors are: Yellow, Aqua, Pink, Peach and White. The techniques: Title Cut-Outs (with Silhuette), Glitter Splatters, Boarders, Sewing and Washi Tape

Below: In the Tutorial you can see how I created the background for the CA State Cut Out ;)

Below: Here I created a glitter boarder on the bottom of the page. Simply use your brush with watered down glue to ‘paint’ the boarder and then add the glitter and let dry :) Simple as 1 2 3 :D

Hope you’re enjoying the tutorial :D

And now I’d love to hear from you: Are you capturing your summer months as well and how?? :)

Pages from Video

Good Morning :) Hope you all had a great Weekend!!

I totally forgot to share with you the pages from the video yesterday! So here they come :) It’s gonna be a little Album about our Death Valley Trip :)

Here I used the ‘Merry Christmas‘ Set to heat emboss the wooden letters. Love this technique, even though I almost never do it…. That’s what laziness can do to you ;) hee

And here I embossed the twig from the ‘Merry Christmas‘ Set right to the paper. Also I used watered down gold paint to splatter! Use a metallic paint with HEAVY PIGMENTATION! They are a bit more expensive, but it’s so worth it!

Last, but not least a page with the ‘ABC Love‘ alphas :D Love them!! I added some white paint to the letters to give them a pop! Worked out really well :D

All right, that’s it for today people :D

Have a great Monday!!

Quotes Journal

When I got my assignment from sweet Paige Evans for this month’s AC Blog Project, I was thrilled! I quickly knew what I would do: another Journal! This time just and only for Quotes! I have so many that I love, but forget after a day or two of discovery, just because I have a fartbrained head and don’t write them down ;)

So here we go. Another Journal ;)

I loved using the newest line by Elizabeth Kartchner. To make it even more feminine I decided to sew on some cute lace on the cover – loooove the effect!!

Hope you feel inspired to capture YOUR favorite quotes :D It’s totally worth the effort ;)
