Layouts, Photography and other Random Updates

Good Morning Ladies :) Today I have quiet a bit to share (CAUTION: lots of images = long post) ;)

First off I want to post a layout I did for BlueMoonScrapbooking! I’m loving the soft colors of the Webster’s Pages Paper in combination with the SC Stars and some Prima flowers! And of course the date stamp by Dear Lizzy!! Little secret… I hate that both date stamps (Dear Lizzy and Smash) have the little images on the side! They always smudge and I’m a little perfectionist when it comes to these things. So what I did to get rid of it… I just got RID of it ;) I used my exacter knife and just cut off that one part of the stamps and now I simply got a nice date stamp!

Next is a mini album page for Crate Paper! I really love this project that I’m working on right now (the Summer 2012 Mini Album) It’s fun to add page after page! And YES, I haven’t punched the holes yet, but I will. Probably 3 on the left side and use some Book RIngs to hold it all together :)

By the way, you can enter to win a box filled with YELLOW goodies over at Crate :) Go and give it a shot :)

Next on the Menu is a Wedding I wanted to share with you! On Saturday a week ago I was able to go shoot a Wedding with the ever so talented Jihan Cerda! It was GREAT to work with her as well as learning from a seasoned pro :) I’m so grateful there are photographers out there, that help out than putting you down :D

If you like you are welcome to check out the entire Wedding on my other blog :) (and I’d love to hear what you think about it :) )

Lastly I would like to talk a little about Design Teams ;) For starters, American Crafts is assembling a new team for 2012/2013!! I gave it a shot last year (without really thinking they would actually take me….) and I had an amazing year with them!! It’s worth it – give it a shot!

And to finish this post off I’d like to give you a little sneak of what’s coming tomorrow….. I will be posting a DT Call for the next term of SGD DT Girls :D Yes, this term is almost over and I will be looking for a few new talented ladies that would love to play with my stamps in the upcoming months :D

One last thing – there are two packs left from the fleamarket. If you are interested here’s the link :)

Well, until then…. Happy Scrappin’ :D

My BlueMoon Kit

Finally I can tell you about one of my many projects that are going on right now :D A few months ago Lisa from BlueMoonScrapbooking approached me and asked if I would like to put together a Kit. My answer? Well, let’s see ;)

Like heck I said YES :D This Kit is so totally me. It is filled with bright and happy colors, Dear Lizzy and Crate Products, white Flowers and some SC Wooden Cameras. It’s super easy to work with it… (and perfect for summer too!!)

To demonstrate just HOW easy it is, here a few more pages to my Summer 2012 Mini Album :D

Above: A Page about my new white bookshelf – or – how my decor looks so much better on white than on black ;)

Below: Another one about the same topic. I made the titles using my Silhouette SD and glued some paper on the back end of the page. Doesn’t look pretty on the back, but even prettier on the front ;)

Below: Here I technically made two pages, but they go together. I used some of the (amazing) Hambly Transparency and added the yellow CP paper to back it up. Hidden behind the Transparency is a little simple white heart and a note. Love me some hidden journaling :D

You can find, buy and play with this kit here :D

Happy Day :D

A Crate Paper Tutorial

Hello Friends! It has been a while since I created an actual photo tutorial, huh ;) Well, today I got one to share with you. In fact, I have to direct you over to the Crate Paper Blog for you to see what I’ve tutorialized ;) (I know, the word is totally made up ;) )

Here’s a little tiny sneak ;)

Now, throughout the summer you will see more of this project of mine. It’s a mini album all about Summer 2012 and I am planning on adding pages every once in a while :) I’m for sure super excited about capturing our favorite memories that way :D

The size is 8×6″

Here the first 3 pages…

Above: The Title Page. I want to keep them similar by using a handful of colors and techniques. My colors are: Yellow, Aqua, Pink, Peach and White. The techniques: Title Cut-Outs (with Silhuette), Glitter Splatters, Boarders, Sewing and Washi Tape

Below: In the Tutorial you can see how I created the background for the CA State Cut Out ;)

Below: Here I created a glitter boarder on the bottom of the page. Simply use your brush with watered down glue to ‘paint’ the boarder and then add the glitter and let dry :) Simple as 1 2 3 :D

Hope you’re enjoying the tutorial :D

And now I’d love to hear from you: Are you capturing your summer months as well and how?? :)

IKEA Pillows

For my Birthday Adrian took me to IKEA! I loooove IKEA and if I could only choose one store to shop at until the end of my days, it would be IKEA! (see, I told you that I loved IKEA ;) )

We got THESE kitchen towels and yesterday I felt like doing some home decorating. Even though the towels were meant to be actual kitchen towels for wet hands or dishes, well, I couldn’t resist to make them into cute little pillowcases ;) I used some fabric I had laying around for the back. If you are planning on doing this, you might as well buy a second set of towels ;)

My sewing machine has 7 different button hole programs and I have always been very intimidated to try it out. Well, as the towels were a teeny bit short for my pillows I decided it was about time I learned that button business! I googled some instructions and about 10min later I had my first button hole made on a piece of scrap fabric :D

I decided to go with some reeeeaally cute buttons and instead of using normal white buttons I used some by Crate Paper. They are wooden and match perfectly with the beachy feel of my new (oh so pretty) pillows :D

Hope that inspires you to do something fun this weekend :D And let me tell you, button holes are easy and pillow cases don’t have to be sewn perfectly straight ;) hee

Crate Paper Projects

Hope you all had a great weekend and all US ladies a great Memorial Day?

I wanted to drop in real quick to share two projects I made for Crate Paper with their brand new Baby Lines! Really, these two new lines are SO cute and you don’t need to have a baby to be using the beautiful, so typically CP paper ;) (even though you will see, I did my projects about babies ;) )

Above: I usually don’t work too much with circles, but for this layout I wanted to challenge myself to do just that. It’s always fun to go outside your comfort zone – every once in a while ;)

Below: Remember Edith and Chris’ Photo Shoot? They got their suuuper cute baby Girl Mia and I just had to craft a little Welcome card for her/them :D The new line also comes with those pretty little wood shapes – you really need to check out the lines if you haven’t already ;)

Happy Tuesday :D
