Switzerland Mini Part I

Hey awesome folks icon biggrin Switzerland Mini Part I How are you guys? We’re doing great. Yesterday we just came back from our trip down south to visit Las Vegas and San Diego icon biggrin Switzerland Mini Part I It was the best birthday EVER for me icon biggrin Switzerland Mini Part I No, we are not really party people and I even totally killed the whole mood at about 11.30pm when they wanted me to drink a 14 dollar Margarita! I mean, pleeeeeaaaase…. Can you imagine what you could buy with 14 bucks at a scrapbooking place? 14 bucks for one little drink – no thanks! And don’t make me do it or…. yeah, I might just kill the mood…………. (don’t worry, I apologized the next day.. I felt just way too bad about my stupid behavior….) Sooooo anyways icon biggrin Switzerland Mini Part I The Mirage was a great place to stay and if I ever go back to Vegas (Baby) I would totally stay there again!

Also San Diego was very very nice! I really love this city! It’s so relaxed and everything’s pretty close together so you can see so much in only one single day icon smile Switzerland Mini Part I We so enjoyed the time out and our friends and it couldn’t have been better icon biggrin Switzerland Mini Part I

But now let me brag with my wonderful B*Day presents icon biggrin Switzerland Mini Part I So Adrian had like 6 different things (other than the trip) ready for me. I thought I knew what they all were about, since I gave him a list of stuff, mainly books about watercolor painting and interior design icon wink Switzerland Mini Part I SO then I started unpacking and got a watercolor book, a interior design book and my watercolor paints I so so much wanted icon wink Switzerland Mini Part I (yes, somehow I really want to start doing some painting again…) Then I unpacked some cool bags with Salami, smoked salmon and crackers and then there was that one last bag on the table…. I really didn’t expect anything at all anymore, since I told him in all sincerity that he should not spend a lot of money on me, since he already spoiled me with a Silhouette SD last Christmas……… So I unpack it and almost had a ‘Herzchriesi’ (Swiss German for ‘heart cherry’ what basically means heart attack) It was a Sigma 17-50/2.8 OS icon biggrin Switzerland Mini Part I icon biggrin Switzerland Mini Part I icon biggrin Switzerland Mini Part I icon biggrin Switzerland Mini Part I icon biggrin Switzerland Mini Part I icon biggrin Switzerland Mini Part I icon biggrin Switzerland Mini Part I see why I almost fainted??? icon biggrin Switzerland Mini Part I icon biggrin Switzerland Mini Part I icon biggrin Switzerland Mini Part I ???????? Oh my goodness, it was awesome icon biggrin Switzerland Mini Part I And the lens is just SO FREAKIN’ GREAT icon biggrin Switzerland Mini Part I Really, I played around with it on the trip and gosh, I can’t tell you how great it is icon wink Switzerland Mini Part I

All righty, but now lets talk about the mini I made for BlueMoon this month icon biggrin Switzerland Mini Part I I really wanted to do a mini about my Switzerland trip last……. March?? I think so.. And since I am totally in love with washi tape I decided to make a cool binding with Hambly’s new washi tape and my sewing machine icon wink Switzerland Mini Part I SO about Hambly tape…. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the designs and colors they came up with. BUT (yes there’s a but…) they are sooooo sticky! It’s super hard to find the beginning once you’re using them. Once I was looking for that beginning for like 10 minutes and got all frustrated and had to use another color in the end. Also the top is super sticky too (and only the bottom should be like that..) Well yeah, that’s my experience with it icon wink Switzerland Mini Part I BTW, this is part I, part II and III will follow during the next couple weeks icon smile Switzerland Mini Part I

Goodness, I haven’t blogged since…. Yeah, I can’t even remember the last time I posted something… bad bad girl! The reason for it? Well, my mojo was gone (once again) and I had no energy at all to do anything at all! Seriously, I felt like sleeping right after I woke up in the morning. The only thing I wanted to do was to read my favorite book, perfectly snuggled up in my bed… And drink a lot of hot chocolate icon wink San Luis Obispo

Anywho, on Thursday Adrian had one of the best surprises ready for me: after my bible study class we went down to San Luis Obispo – on HWY 1 icon biggrin San Luis Obispo It was awesome! The weather wasn’t great here in Gilroy when we left, in fact it was raining from time to time. But once we passed Big Sur the weather got better and better with every minute we were on the road. We saw beautiful landscapes, calm waters and guess what!! We even saw hundreds and hundreds of Elephant Seals!! They were laying on the beach, moms with their babies and even a couple males with their huge nose! Even tough they aren’t really cute (not even the youngsters…) they were extremly fascinating!!

San Luis Obispo Downtown was awesome at night. On Thursday they have a vivid farmers market with live bands and lots of fresh and BBQed food.

Then after we went to watch True Grid with Matt Damon we checked in to our hotel, a beautiful Best Western at Pismo Beach! Oh my gosh, it was so beautiful! Since the hotel was running very slow they even upgrated us and we got a 529 Dollar room, with stunning ocean view! AWESOME! Aparently the beds weren’t very compfy and so I woke up very early in the morning. I am so so so glad I did, because I got some beautiful shots, right from our balcony!!

After that, it was only about 8 in the morning or so, we went to get our complimentary breakfast icon wink San Luis Obispo Yum, it was so so good! Fresh waffles, hard boiled eggs, muffins and tasty juice icon wink San Luis Obispo Then we left that wonderful hotel and decided to go to Pismo Beach and walked around a little. We visited the pier and watched surfers.

After all that we went to San Luis Obispo and Adrian showed me Cal Poly and we drove around for some house hunting and exploring – something we looove to do together! I have to note here, that Adrian and his brother Daniel went to college at SLO some time ago, so it is kinda his second home. He also showed me once again where he lived at that time and we even saw Mrs.B, the landlord icon wink San Luis Obispo

Yes, that was about what we did during the last couple days icon wink San Luis Obispo

On Friday we had to get up very early in the morning and drove to Disneyland. The first few hours were great. The weather was nice and not too hot and the rides are a lot of fun too. But then it got hotter and hotter…. It was crazy! I hate hot weather, especially when it is over 100°….. Yuck! I really love the Pirates of the Caribbean Ride icon wink Back again!

Road Trip and Stamps

Our 1-day Road Trip on Friday was a blast! It was so good to drive 400 miles and enjoy each other while we were singing and laughing in the car! California is such a beautiful and stunning state! I have been in Santa Barbara a year ago but never more northern than San Francisco.. I was absolutley amazed, how beautiful the landscapes are and how you really feel the ‘wild wild west’ up there!

Today I have been working all day long on my new Clear Stamp Collections! Yes, after a long back and forth in my mind Adrian has finally convinced me to do it! We will start small and I am designing four brand new collections, but there are already more designs around, that hopefully will come out later on in fall sometimes. I am very very excited and I can’t wait to start stamping with those stamps icon biggrin Road Trip and Stamps

I don’t want to show you the collections already, but for the fourth collection I wanted to involve you a little! Lately I have been doing some splashes and splatters and played around with them a little. I always thought, that those trahsy designs would look very cool on layouts. As far as I know Tim Holtz has brought out one Stamp set with splashes on. Here a little sneak peak, how it would look like….

Now, would you buy such a stamp set or would you not?? What do you think?? Please leave me a comment here on this post! I would love to know what you think about this idea!! icon biggrin Road Trip and Stamps

By the way, have you seen the two new Pages here, Gallery and Custom Made??
