Hey awesome folks
How are you guys? We’re doing great. Yesterday we just came back from our trip down south to visit Las Vegas and San Diego
It was the best birthday EVER for me
No, we are not really party people and I even totally killed the whole mood at about 11.30pm when they wanted me to drink a 14 dollar Margarita! I mean, pleeeeeaaaase…. Can you imagine what you could buy with 14 bucks at a scrapbooking place? 14 bucks for one little drink – no thanks! And don’t make me do it or…. yeah, I might just kill the mood…………. (don’t worry, I apologized the next day.. I felt just way too bad about my stupid behavior….) Sooooo anyways
The Mirage was a great place to stay and if I ever go back to Vegas (Baby) I would totally stay there again!
Also San Diego was very very nice! I really love this city! It’s so relaxed and everything’s pretty close together so you can see so much in only one single day
We so enjoyed the time out and our friends and it couldn’t have been better
But now let me brag with my wonderful B*Day presents
So Adrian had like 6 different things (other than the trip) ready for me. I thought I knew what they all were about, since I gave him a list of stuff, mainly books about watercolor painting and interior design
SO then I started unpacking and got a watercolor book, a interior design book and my watercolor paints I so so much wanted
(yes, somehow I really want to start doing some painting again…) Then I unpacked some cool bags with Salami, smoked salmon and crackers and then there was that one last bag on the table…. I really didn’t expect anything at all anymore, since I told him in all sincerity that he should not spend a lot of money on me, since he already spoiled me with a Silhouette SD last Christmas……… So I unpack it and almost had a ‘Herzchriesi’ (Swiss German for ‘heart cherry’ what basically means heart attack) It was a Sigma 17-50/2.8 OS
see why I almost fainted???
???????? Oh my goodness, it was awesome
And the lens is just SO FREAKIN’ GREAT
Really, I played around with it on the trip and gosh, I can’t tell you how great it is
All righty, but now lets talk about the mini I made for BlueMoon this month
I really wanted to do a mini about my Switzerland trip last……. March?? I think so.. And since I am totally in love with washi tape I decided to make a cool binding with Hambly’s new washi tape and my sewing machine
SO about Hambly tape…. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the designs and colors they came up with. BUT (yes there’s a but…) they are sooooo sticky! It’s super hard to find the beginning once you’re using them. Once I was looking for that beginning for like 10 minutes and got all frustrated and had to use another color in the end. Also the top is super sticky too (and only the bottom should be like that..) Well yeah, that’s my experience with it
BTW, this is part I, part II and III will follow during the next couple weeks
Happy Scrappin’
PS: Thank you guys for all the sweet Happy Birthday’s on Facebook
PPS: I will show you some pics about the trip soon.. Hopefully
