News.

I don’t really know how and where to start this announcement. Well, let’s go back to September 2009. Maybe you remember that I was bashed pretty badly on some bash blogs. Silly me read all the comments and my heart literally shattered into a million pieces. I think, it was the beginning of the end. But also a new beginning. (complicated, right?) While my passion for scrapbooking was spread all over the floor, I had to really start thinking about my life, my purpose and I was able to step back and discover my passion for Wedding Photography. If you get lemons, make lemonade :)

Basically, I decided to keep scrapping, but lately it has become very clear to me, that I’m getting more and more busy with photography and I just can’t continue doing two things at once.

As of this month, I will be out of Crate Paper and BlueMoonScrapbooking as well. I felt bad, because I felt like I wasn’t able to work for them wholeheartedly anymore and I’d rather make space for a fresh face with new ideas and lots of passion. So, it’s all good!
My love for Photography has grown and even though, having my own business and all is not always easy (and definitely takes up a ton of my energy) it is so worth it. I love to work with couples, before, on and after their Special Day. It is such fulfilling work to see, that I can make people happy with documenting their stories.
.
All that said, you probably already know what is coming next. Because I’m so thankful for all of you guys I didn’t want to just disappear, but rather wanted to let you know, that this blog will get very quiet soon. I’m not planning on continuing scrapbooking as I did before. Same goes for my Etsy Shop. There are still stamps left in my treasure box, but the shop will close sometimes in January. So these next few weeks will be your very last chance to get your hands on my stamps. By the way, I’ve reduced the price of my stamps from $14.99 to $10 a piece!!
.
I hope this doesn’t come as a big shock for you. Deep down in my heart I’m excited about the time I will get from not crafting – or say, crafting in another way and for another purpose. Deep down I’m excited to focus all my energy on photography and other projects that might come in the future :)
.
I’m really so thankful for you my friends, for sticking with me through good and bad. For complimenting my work. For supporting my stamps. For cheering me on and keeping me going. Thank You!!
.
If you want to keep following my journey, you are more than welcome to read my photography blog or FB page. I’m not going to disappear, but the scrapbooking lane ends here. It has been so amazing to get to know so many ‘strangers’, just because we had this one little thing in common! It has been so awesome to work for such great DT’s and be a part of something bigger than I could have ever imagined. Thank you thank you thank you!!!
.
Well, if you’ve been reading all up to here I guess it’s soon time to say good bye. Good bye to a wonderful 8 years of blogging, learning and making friends. Good bye to dreams that have come true and Hello to new, even bigger dreams!!
.
xoxo, Rahel ♥

PS: The SGD Girls and I have decided to go out with a bang! We’re going to have one last Blog Hop on December 23th! So come back to celebrate a wonderful time, more like a part of my life being ended :D

Photography Adventure Update

Hello Friends :) I wanted this to be a separate post, because first it will be a longish one and secondly it is so close to my heart.

Maybe you remember, that I’ve ventured into a new field, Wedding Photography. That was almost a year back – already! I came to a point a few months ago, where I wanted to have a website, that truly represents ME and what my business stands for.

I started to collect ideas, spend hours and hours on Pinterest and in Photoshop and finally came up with something I loved!

Yesterday was finally the day, when I was able to launch my brand spankin new website :D

Today, in celebration of this mile stone, I am hosting a giveaway over at the new blog! I thought I would let you guys know :) Please feel free to enter and spread the word :D I highly appreciate your recommendations to your family and friends

Hope to see and ‘hear’ you over there ;)

xoxo, Rahel

Layouts, Photography and other Random Updates

Good Morning Ladies :) Today I have quiet a bit to share (CAUTION: lots of images = long post) ;)

First off I want to post a layout I did for BlueMoonScrapbooking! I’m loving the soft colors of the Webster’s Pages Paper in combination with the SC Stars and some Prima flowers! And of course the date stamp by Dear Lizzy!! Little secret… I hate that both date stamps (Dear Lizzy and Smash) have the little images on the side! They always smudge and I’m a little perfectionist when it comes to these things. So what I did to get rid of it… I just got RID of it ;) I used my exacter knife and just cut off that one part of the stamps and now I simply got a nice date stamp!

Next is a mini album page for Crate Paper! I really love this project that I’m working on right now (the Summer 2012 Mini Album) It’s fun to add page after page! And YES, I haven’t punched the holes yet, but I will. Probably 3 on the left side and use some Book RIngs to hold it all together :)

By the way, you can enter to win a box filled with YELLOW goodies over at Crate :) Go and give it a shot :)

Next on the Menu is a Wedding I wanted to share with you! On Saturday a week ago I was able to go shoot a Wedding with the ever so talented Jihan Cerda! It was GREAT to work with her as well as learning from a seasoned pro :) I’m so grateful there are photographers out there, that help out than putting you down :D

If you like you are welcome to check out the entire Wedding on my other blog :) (and I’d love to hear what you think about it :) )

Lastly I would like to talk a little about Design Teams ;) For starters, American Crafts is assembling a new team for 2012/2013!! I gave it a shot last year (without really thinking they would actually take me….) and I had an amazing year with them!! It’s worth it – give it a shot!

And to finish this post off I’d like to give you a little sneak of what’s coming tomorrow….. I will be posting a DT Call for the next term of SGD DT Girls :D Yes, this term is almost over and I will be looking for a few new talented ladies that would love to play with my stamps in the upcoming months :D

One last thing – there are two packs left from the fleamarket. If you are interested here’s the link :)

Well, until then…. Happy Scrappin’ :D
