You know about ”love at first sight”, don’t you?
We’ve all read the fairytales, seen the movies, heard the stories… but not all of us are blessed with actually having it happen to us.
I did.
I happened to stumble upon this really talented lady, named Rahel Menig, who made the most beautiful layouts. I clicked my way onto her blog and I was immediately smitten. Because HELLO, have you SEEN those stamps? So I wondered what they were, where on earth she had been lucky enough to lay her paws on these babies. See, I neeeeded them, too!
Imagine my surprise when I realized that she _made_ them.
Yep. So I crushed. I window shopped her Etsy-store and cussed a little (one of those short-on-cash-months, you know?) and then I kinda told myself “It’s not meant to be”.
A little while later, my dear scrappy friend Lilith Eeckles announced that she’d been picked as a DT-member of… you guessed it… Swiss Girl Designs! It had to be destiny. Riiiight?
Long story short: Veni Vidi VISA – I came, I saw, I did a little shopping…
…and then I did a little scrapping. And then Rahel asked me to be a guest on her blog and show what I’d made. Oh. My. Goodness. (I had to literally pinch myself.)
Swoonworthy moment RIGHT there, I tell you!
So I jumped for joy, yelling “Yes, yes, yes!!”. Then I created. And created. And created. And fussed and worried that nothing would be good enough. I planned a video, but couldn’t get it to work. I considered a tutorial that’d make Rahel happy.
…and then I worried some more.
And then I tossed caution overboard and here I am!
I invent things in my head. I start a bazillion projects and finish five. I make messes. I create things because I don’t know how NOT to. I love with all my heart, and try to avoid hatred. I believe in being the change you wish to see in the world. I am addicted to words. I enjoy the silence. I dream vividly and in colour. I’m Swedish, but not blonde. I’m happily married to my other love-at-first-sight. I am owned by two furbabies. I’m Zarah.
